My dad was born in Aroroy, Masbate, Philippines. He moved to New Zealand in 1998 (in his twenties)
for a job. He is is the oldest out of 7 and said he spent his childhood with his grandpa (my great grandpa)
playing on rice fields and having fun. My great grandpa was the mayor of the city and died because
of a heart stroke.
My mum is from Leyte, Ormoc, Philippines. She moved to New Zealand in 1996 (in her twenties)
to finish off school. She is the eldest out of 4 and told me that she spent her childhood
looking after her siblings and that her dad was very strict. My maternal grandad died when
my mum was only 18. My mum was first in Christchurch and moved to Auckland then met my dad.
My parents met in Auckland, 1998, through friends and work then got married in November 1998. They had their
first child in 2000 (my older brother) and the rest is history. They had a second wedding (in the church)
in 2004, 2 years before I was born. My parents always tell me that even if they didn,t meet in New Zealand,
I still would've been born but in the Philippines because they worked for the same company in New Zealand
I was born in North Shore Hospital on 03/02/06 and is 14 years old.
